Oil samples are taken with 50ml glass syringes to provide the consistency and accuracy needed to properly diagnose any developing problem.

The Oil Laboratory is part of our transformer maintenance capability. We can take care of sampling, provide sampling training, or just provide the equipment and guidance you need to take the oil sample correctly.

Once your form is submitted, we’ll send you a test kit for you to collect your samples.

Our team can help you choose the right test suite and make sure your samples are submitted correctly.

For eligible sample volumes, machinemonitor® can provide results within 48 working hours for up to 30–40 Standard Suites or 30–35 Extended Suites.

For higher sample volumes, turnaround is typically 4–5 working days.

Timing depends on the number of samples, the test suite required, and suitable sample condition on receipt.

Yes! In fact we have taken the extra step of NATA Accreditation. We ensure oil sampling is to internationally accepted standards, such as ASTM D923, in order to obtain meaningful and consistent results.

NATA accredited organisations have a proven, independently assessed benchmark for performance.

That means we hold ourselves to a higher standard than non-accredited labs and have the certification to prove it.

NATA accreditation of the machinemonitor Oil Laboratory means our "organisation can be trusted, technical results counted on and inspected products and services safe and reliable for public use".
